Ofelya Aghakaryan
Senior Executive Officer
Ms. Ofelya Aghakaryan, IIA, CPA, CGA, FCCA, is an accomplished finance professional with a diverse background in audit, assurance, and financial management. She currently serves as Senior Executive Officer at Apricot Capital (DIFC) Limited.
Ms. Aghakaryan has held leadership positions at PwC in the Middle East and Canada, and her international experience spans numerous countries. Her experience spans diverse areas of finance, including roles at the Central Bank of Armenia, C-Quadrat Ampega Asset Management Armenia, and Canada Mortgage & Housing Corporation.
Ms. Aghakaryan holds a Master of Science in Professional Accountancy from University College London (UCL) and a Master of Economics from Yerevan State University.
El Mehdi Boumehraz
Head of Compliance
El Mehdi Boumehraz has an overall experience of 12+ years in financial services with a focus on AML, Regulatory Compliance and Audit. Following his tenure in the Central Bank of Morocco in the regulatory inspection team, El Mehdi held several senior roles in Compliance in the banking sector as well as consulting roles including with PwC Dubai’s office.
Besides his core focus, El Mehdi’s hands-on experience covers Risk Management (including Basel requirements), Finance and Tax and various sectors such as real estate, health care, civilian airlines, feed industry.
He delivered for clients and employers in Western Europe, Middle East, Japan, Singapore, Africa (Northern, Western and Central) and the United States.
